Trey Allwood

Allwood. Trey Allwood. I’m a Chicago based writer, comedian and music director. I primarily perform solo work/standup, produce sketch comedy with my team and improvise piano for several musical improv groups around the city. I make this art because ever since I slid out of the womb, attention has been the goal.  I value collaboration most when it comes to making art.   In my work, I like to explore person to person dynamics, pathetic characters, and social embarrassment through an absurd lens. I also believe it’s important for someone in my position to know all sides of the work we’re creating.  Whenever I can, I love to work on a show from a tech/production angle, further developing the skills I need in order to make someone else’s work really shine.
